NABJ-LA is accepting applications for our 2016 scholarship program.
All applicants must be African-American undergraduate students in good standing attending an accredited U.S. college or university. They must be students living in Southern California, or have a permanent residence in Southern California. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to journalism or a career in news media.
Must be emailed no later than 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016.

ESSAY TOPIC: Why do media/news organizations need African American journalists?
The NABJ-LA Scholarship Committee will select all scholarship winners. Decisions of NABJ-LA are final. No applications or submitted materials will be returned. The amount of each scholarship and number of awards will vary depending on the number of applicants. Finalists will be interviewed by the NABJ-LA Scholarship Committee via Facetime/Skype between Dec. 7-9. Scholarships will be awarded by the end of December 2016.
